The ultimate objective is to see who can complete the course in the shortest possible time. Or, indeed, simply who can complete the course. Using kite power alone, the skiers and snowboarders must each complete five full laps of 15-20km each.  Named from Norse mythology, where Ragnarök is the final battle between good and evil, this is an always-spectacular event and a true test of skill and endurance.
